Great site with fabulous views, stopped over on cycle ride, would have liked to spend more time to explore the area.
Would never ever stay here again.. toilets were leaking, showers looked disgusting (was not brave enough to use them). The only good thing was hot water to wash hands and dishes.
I'll start by saying I stayed here from necessity, I was doing the NC500 and felt ill and needed somewhere to stay quickly and this was it. The site is very basic, but it was 5 a night. The toilets was run down but clean, had showers (never tried them) and hot water. The grass was short and ground flat, and it was in a nice area. I would stay again, but it would be just a quick stop off overnight. I wouldn't want to stay here for a few days. The owner was a lovely old lady who lived on top of the hill opposite the village shop.
Had to ask in local shop to find out where to pay, owner was polite and the site was cheap but the pot holes on the way into the site from the top are horrific, the toilet block looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a century and the ground is so hard you can't get a tent peg in (which judging from the number of other stuck and bent tent pegs around the site is a common problem). Wouldn't reccomend it.
Positioned above farr beach which is a 5 minute stroll away. Toilet facilities could do with some love but water was hot. 4 stars for location. No shop on site but general merchants at top of hill couple of minutes away
